Hello, I’m Andrew. I’m a 21 year old going from grocery store back-room to enterprise server room. I’ve been studying on my own as much as possible for the last 3 years, and have come quite a long way if you ask me. But I’ve got a long way to go yet. I tend to read a lot and I reinforce what I learn by writing about it, and teaching it to others. So basically, as I learn, you’ll learn. So, come with me on my journey to a start of an IT career. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to drop me an email. Thanks for your time, and thanks for visiting my little corner of the web.

AKA That Linux Guy

Hi, I love you.
I was just curious why you have your email listed? Why do you not write this as a mailto tag in your code to save the copy and pasting?
Honestly… his email should be written more like this:
String.Format(“{0}@{1}.com”, “ahale1987″, “gmail”);
Spam bots crawl the internet and search for email addresses and they can more easily parse links in html than text (all they have to do is look for “mailto”). And that isn’t to say parsing plain text is hard.
Hi Andrew! I just read about your blog over at SAJ. It sounds like you’re well on your way to systems-administrator-hood. I’m subscribing to your blog, and really look forward to seeing where you go and how you get there.
